- Networking is a bimonthly bulletin
dedicated to disseminating news
and
information about activities and
developments in distance education
and
learning technologies at Ontario
colleges, universities, and
organizations. Networking provides
a forum for you to announce
innovations at your organization,
and will keep you current on new
programmes, partnerships,
appointments, projects, courses,
technologies,
and funding opportunities.
Networking will tell you about
upcoming
conferences and workshops,
summarize important articles, and
point you to
useful websites. Networking will
save you time by monitoring and
condensing the vast amount of
information available on the Web,
on
listservs, in journals, and in the
press. Networking won't waste
your
time with irrelevant postings or
chat. Networking will encourage
communication, cooperation, and
resource-sharing between
institutions
across the province and beyond.
Networking is published by the
NODE (http://node.on.ca). Back
issues are
archived on our website at
http://node.on.ca/networking. To subscribe, send a blank message with the subject: subscribe Networking to the above address.

Online-ed - Online-ed is a forum for those who
are exploring the frontiers of
digital media in the field of
education. It is open to students,
trainers, instructors, and others who
wish to share their knowledge in
an educational context. It is a good
place to bring up practical
issues, such as "What is metadata
and how do you use it?" Or, "How
can
I find an online course on "business
etiquette" or "C++?"
This mailing list is the virtual
equivalent of a pot-luck supper.
Instead of bringing potato salad or
spaghetti, share your wit and
wisdom about the online education
world. If each subscriber brings a
little to the table, we will all have
much to share! Send an e-mail message to
majordomo@arlington.com
with
subscribe online-ed
in the body of the message.
